Lenard J. Kling of Otsego, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at his home. Mr. Kling was born October 16, 1932 in Otsego Township to Charles and Ida (Herbst) Kling and was a lifelong resident of the area. During the Korean War Lenard served his country in the U.S. Army.
On June 4, 1953 in Otsego he married the former Patricia Stephens, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Lenard Kling, Jr. and Kevin (Shelley) Kling, both of Otsego; granddaughters Amanda (Wayne) Vandenburg of Clarksville and Randi (Joe Gauthier) Kling of Plainwell; sisters, Caroline Kling and Irene Haas, both of Otsego; his brother, Richard (Ann) Kling of Plainwell ; sisters-in-law, Glenda Kling of Olivet and Shirley Kling of Plainwell; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Esther (Bill) Peterson, Minnie (Norman) Pike, Carl (Irma) Kling, Alice (Clare) Drake, Ray (Wanda) Kling, Ed Kling and Don Kling.
Friends may visit with his family from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M., Rev. Mark Minegar officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego.
