Lawrence W. Holyoke Jr.

Larry passed away, Monday, January 9, 2023 at his home in Otsego, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born January 19, 1961 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the son of Lawrence and Marjorie (Bryan) Holyoke. Larry spent his younger years in Florida and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Hillsboro County Road Commission until his retirement in 2001. Music was a big part of Larry’s life. In the 80’s he was part of the Running Heart Band and enjoyed playing shows at clubs in the Tampa area. Most of all Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Georgia Snyder; children, Tiffany (Jack) Neels and Tony Newton; 5 grandchildren, Tyler and McKenna Thompson and Xander, Joshua and Levi Neels; brother, Kenneth Holyoke; sisters, Katrina Harris, Elizabeth Stratton, Winnie Byron, Melissa Boss, Laura Newton and Julie Bentley; brother-in-law, Michael Harris along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Vurl Snyder; nephew, Christopher Harris and brother-in-law, Frank Byron.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later time.
