Larry E. Sherer

Larry passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at his home in Delton.

He was born September 5, 1951 in Kalamazoo, the son of Herman and Joyce (Harmonn) Sherer. For many years Larry owned and operated a construction company. Larry was a talented artist and enjoyed making walking sticks. He also loved being outdoors in the woods, fishing and spending time with his wife. Larry was a great dad with many talents. On June 14, 2019 he married Michelle Dalrymple who passed away in July.

Surviving are his children, Jessica (Dustin) DelaForet, Amberly (Tony) King and Melissa Sherer; 16 grandchildren; longtime companion, Patti Hoyt and her children, Mike, Justin and Amy; step-son, Cullen Hume-Dalrymple; siblings, Harold Sherer and Connie Sanchez along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

We enjoyed spending time with Larry – talking about days when we were all younger with less aches and pains. Thankful we were able to know him and consider him as a friend.

I had the honor of getting to know Larry through a friend. He was always so nice always willing to listen and help others. He is loved and will be missed.
