Kenneth Swinehart

Kenneth passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born June 16, 1936 in Kalamazoo the son of Clyde and Elma Swinehart. Kenneth served his country in the US Army. He was a skilled chef who for many years had cooked at area restaurants. In his spare time he enjoyed attending and selling items at flea markets. On April 2, 1996 he married Ruby Fergusson who passed away in 2013.

Surviving are his children, Kevin Honicutt, Shara Swinehart, Terry Swinehart, Kaleen VanBuren and Andrea Swinehart; 13 grandchildren along with a special grandson who they raised as their own, Jordan Smith; several great-grandchildren and his step-son, Bob Bowden.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby.

Cremation has taken place. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.

You are with grandma now. I miss you so much. It still don’t seem real. I can’t stop crying when I remember you. Thank You for everything and I am sorry for all the difficult times I caused. I wish you could come back for a single day. I hope I can come be with you someday soon.
