Kenneth J. McLaughlin of Otsego, Michigan, passed away

Sunday, December 17, 2006

at his home. Mr. McLaughlin was born

June 8, 1924

in Watson Twp. to Robert and Therese (Connors) McLaughlin He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Lt. in the Pacific Theatre during WW II and had worked at Eaton Corp (Fullers) for 37 ½ years. Ken was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing games, golf, cook-outs and was very handy – he could fix anything. On

June 26, 1944

, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan he was married to Betty DeKilder, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Sandy (Gary) Zantello and Patty (Mike) Pearson both of Otsego, 4 grandchildren; Terri (Brad Smith) Zantello of Traverse City, Debi (Rick) Davis of Otsego, Amy (Bill) Wood of Otsego and Mike (Amber Rizzio) Pearson of Lindenhurst, IL; 5 great-grandchildren; Tyler & Matt Nowak, Zack Landrum, Josh & Jacob Wood; and a sister, Esther Draper of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his siblings; Lloyd (Nina) McLaughlin, Paul (Mable) McLaughlin, Gerald (Rosie) McLaughlin and a brother-in-law Clifford Draper. Friends may meet the family from 2-4 and

6-8 P.M.

Tuesday at the

Winkel Funeral Home,

Otsego,

where a Scripture Service will be held at

7:30 P.M.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Otsego, Rev. Fr. Donald P. Klingler, celebrant. Burial will follow at
