Kenneth J. Dimock
Kenneth J. ‘Ken’ Dimock of Allegan, Michigan passed away June 26, 2011 at his home. Mr. Dimock was born October 17, 1951 in Kalamazoo to Morton Dimock and Lenora (Peterson) Wood. Ken was an Army Veteran serving with the 101st Airborne Div. in Viet Nam from 1971-1972 and in Germany from 1975-1977 earning the rank of E-6. He was a member of the VFW Post 3030, enjoyed golfing and spending time in nature. For many years he was employed as a truck driver retiring in 2010.
Ken is survived by his mother, Lenora Wood; his son, Ken Dimock; a grandson, Ashton; his siblings, Judith Dimock, Tim (Teri) Dimock, Jo (Bruce) Maurer, Janet (Milo) Holroyd, Jim (Lauri) Dimock, Mary (Joe) Lamb; a lifelong friend, Roger Brock and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father, Morton Dimock, a brother Michael Dimock and his step-father, William H. Wood.
Friends may meet with Ken’s family Thursday from Noon until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
, Bill Rose, Celebrant officiating. Burial will follow at Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan with Military Honors by VFW Post 3030, Michigan Army National Guard and the Patriot Guard.
Contributions in memory of Ken may be made to Allegan County Humane Society.

Am so sorry for this entire family. We haven’t been together since mom’s passing, but you know that I love you all very much and pray for your memories and good times with Ken. He will surely be missed by all.

Uncle Ken will be deeply missed by his nieces/nephews and his great nieces/nephews. He was most often noted to have a smile on his face. He was always able to pass on that smile and make you laugh with a good joke. He had a very thoughtful and kind heart. Uncle Ken will always be loved and remembered.

I haven’t talked to Uncle Kenny in many years but I will miss him very much. I will always remember having to keep on my toes as to not fall for one of his many practical jokes. One of my favorites as a child was the snakes in the peanut brittle jar, lol. RIP Uncle Kenny, we all love you very much.

Hi uncle Kenny this is your great niece, I don’t remember who you are but I do know that you served our country and you were a great brother to my grandma and your other siblings. I hope you find peace and happiness where you went, because you do deserve it. I really don’t know what to say or if you will know who I am when we meet in paradise. But I wanted to let you know that I love you and that when it’s our time that we can all be a family again. Well, I hope to see you again and oh I’m pretty sure you will be hanging out and chasing women with all your buddies that passed on to and would you tell them that I thank them to for having courage and being very brave to protecting our country. Thank you.

uncle kenny you know i was thinking about the time we were fishing at grandmas on monroe road and we caught so many fish that we had a fish fry that was the good times.you always made everyone laugh you could make a joke about anything.we will miss you and you are always in our hearts and memories.your with your brother now {uncle mike} and your at peace.we will see you again someday. love you always.

When I think of you I always remember your 1960 Chevy with the yellow racing stripe that said 409 . You and I and Jule were going up to Delton. We jumped in and you fired her up and before we left, you reached down and rubbed Julie’s leg, and then you picked up my hand and rubbed her leg with it. That was the first girl I ever touched with my big brother’s assistance and your “Kenny” grin and laugh.
