Judy Lylene Leonard, 70, of Plainwell passed away peacefully at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo on April 16, 2016 surrounded by loved ones.
Judy was born in Allegan on February 15, 1946 to Marion and Mabel (Huffman) Harris. Judy enjoyed shopping, finding bargains at garage sales, attending the annual family fish fry, visiting with family and riding on the motorcycle with longtime partner, Dennis. One of Judy’s favorite places to shop was at Harding’s Market in Otsego she adored the people that worked there.
Judy is survived by her partner of 14 years, Dennis VanDusen II; son, Scott Filkins; step-daughter, Amanda VanDusen; step-son, Dennis (Tiffany) VanDusen III; brother, James Harris and many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Filkins; second husband, Richard Leonard; daughter, Laurie Cook and siblings, Agatha Farnum, Marion Harris Jr., Josephine Johnson, Dorothy Fonger, Helen Wemus, Mary Dollar, Gerold Harris, Norma Harris, Raymond (Butch) Harris and Sally Simmons.
Cremation has taken place.

aunt judy you were always my favorite you helped me when I needed it the most and im glad I was there to help take care of you and that I was there to the end and now your with your daughter lorrie now and the rest of your family now your not in pain anymore or suffering anymore I will always love you and miss you your with god now he answered your prayer and I think dennis for takeing care of you to and George to I no you thought a lot of him one day I will see you again and I no scott is hurting to he misses you and loves you to may you rest in piece your niece betty Campbell I love you with all of my heart .

So sorry for your loss. I was looking up Winkel Funeral Home for someone else and see that Judy is on there. I was close friends with her daughter Laurie Ann. We used to go over to Judy & Dicks’ to visit. Such a nice lady. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
