Judson Breedveld

Jud passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Vicinia Gardens in Otsego.

He was born August 3, 1952 in Kalamazoo the son of Nicholas and Rose Marie (Baker) Breedveld. For many years Jud had worked for Cushman Construction and most recently had operated his own painting business. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, bowling, horseshoes with friends, trips to the casino, working on his yard, gardening, cooking and spending time in his garage. Jud was an honorary member of the Otsego VFW. On November 29, 1996 he married Louise Winfrey who passed away in 2014.

Surviving are his siblings, John (Shirley) Breedveld of Kalamazoo, Joan (Marty) Ruiter of Allegan, JoLynne (Dr. Robert) DeWinter of Grand Junction, Joel (Karen) Breedveld of Kentwood, Nick (Karin) Breedveld of Otsego and Zarlene (Ed) Main of Plainwell; several nieces and nephews including special nephew, Richie Main; Jud’s daughter by love, Jennifer (Michael) Gradwell; grandchildren, Meighan (Ryan) Taylor, Kyle Areaux, Tori Gradwell and Thomas Gradwell; great-granddaughter, Ellerie along with too many friends to mention.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.

Scattering of ashes will take place at a later time.

Such a loving caring funny man. I was so glad to get to know him. He put a smile on my face every day I seen him I will miss him but he is with his wife now and he really wanted to be with her. I learned a lot about him in the 92 days I got to be in his life. Bye Jud love you debbie

Zarlene im so sorry of your loss of your brother jud, you always talked of him and spending special visits with him after he moved into vinica gardens,as we waited for your grandbabies at the school. We are praying for you at this time.

Jud is at rest and with his Louise. So glad I was able to share in both their lives through my best friend, Jennifer Gradwell. Celebrate his life & love he had for all of you!
