So very sorry to hear of Judy’s passing! My heart hurts knowing we are losing another member of our family. Judy always seemed to be the most classy lady I’ve ever met! While distance kept us from really getting to know her well, I’m honored she was in my life. Tom and all the families, John and I are sending love and prayers for strength and courage to deal with this difficult time.

Dear Tom and family, we are so sorry for your loss. I will never forget our trip to Nashville together as Tom and Steve had a business meeting in Nashville and when they had there meeting Judy and i went to see Loretta Lynns mansion and farm. I never got to tell her that my nephew and his wife just bought a plantation around the corner from Loretta Lynns place and are neighbors with her son.. On our way to Nashville she would look out the window and see different barns and what they look like and was always interested in them. To this day when Steve and i are on a road trip i find myself doing the same thing. She was truly a wonderful person who left legacies for her family and friends.

Not so long ago, Judy spied me at Menard’s and, so like her, made the special effort to come over and say hello. I was struck by how young she looked and, as so many have commented, radiated a smile that lightened the heart. No mention of the challenge that she faced. Instead she asked after me and my immediate family (remembering all of their names!) and made me promise to say hello to all of my siblings, her cousins.
To all her family and friends: I hope you will take solace in knowing that you are all richer for having had her in your lives.

What a dear lady I will miss so much. I worked with Judy the last few years before she retired from the Shoppers Guide. I usually worked with her about 40 hours/week so she quickly became a friend to me. I wasn’t sure what to think about her when I met her. She was a small woman, but had an air of “don’t mess with me” about her:). I liked the description that came up of her at her funeral of “fierce”. She was a fierce friend….refusing to let a person believe lies, or feel sorry for oneself, or feel a victim. You didn’t complain around Judy or hear her complain, ever. She loved God fiercely and passed that on to people. This also made her seem a bit unpredictable. She had a gift of discernment and that meant sometimes she’d listen with a smile and comfort you, but other times she’d realize it was “get over it” and move on response a person needed. I don’t know a lot of discerning people but she was one. She was also fierce in defending those she loved and those that needed it. I loved to watch her handle an ornery customer that wanted to rip one of us to shreds because they felt grumpy….she didn’t stand for that! It was great to know she would stand up for us. Most of all, she loved her family and friends fiercely. How she adored Tom and her boys, all her siblings, all her beautiful grandkids. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them and for us. Judy was such a great example of a Christian that walked the talk. I’ll miss her very much and always remember her fondly. Best of all, I know I will see her again one day and have lots more great talks and laughs together. I pray God’s love and comfort over all her family that will miss her so much. With love,
Pam

David & I send our sincere condolences to all of Judy’s large and dearly loved family. She was a rock of sorts…a pillar of strength for many. She spoke the truth in love and was surefooted in living out her life according to Christian principles. We know she will be greatly missed, especially by those who were closest to her, and we also know that she’s run her race well and received the prize. In her heavenly home there is no more pain, sickness, or sorrow. We will see you again, dear Judy, in a better place.
