. Mrs. Roberts was born

September 14, 1910

to Oscar and Daisy (Ferrier) Gomez. She had been a resident of the area since 1935 when she moved from

Chicago

,

Illinois

. For over 55 years she was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Otsego and had been active in the League of Mary. Juanita was also a member of the Otsego P.T.A. and for 18 years she was a 4-H leader in

Kalamazoo

. She enjoyed quilting, baking, sewing and gardening. Juanita married Charles Fred Roberts, II on

September 14, 1939

, and he preceded her in death on

January 19, 1987

. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Edgar Wallace Taylor and Malcolm Charles Roberts; a sister, Ora Gomez; and a brother, Oscar Gomez. Surviving are 3 daughters and 4 sons, Jacqueline Marie (Tom) Mitchell, Rose Marie (James) Yore, Angela Agnes Roberts, Patrick Andrew Roberts, Ronald Matthew Roberts, Charles Fred Roberts,

, and Jerome Christopher Roberts; 29 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from

9 P.M.

Friday, January 9 at the

Winkel Funeral Home,

Otsego.

The Rosary will be recited at 8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at

1:00 P.M.

Saturday, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Donald P. Klingler celebrant. Interment of ashes at

Mt.

Olivet

Cemetery

in

Kalamazoo

will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifespan Hospice of

Battle Creek

or St. Margaret’s Catholic Church.
