Dear Michelle, Laura and John,
I want you to know how much I appreciated your mother’s friendship many years ago. She was a lovely and kind person and I have such fond memories of the times we spent together back in the 70’s and 80’s or maybe earlier. It was mostly when your dad was at Mastercraft Corp. I had lunch with her a few years back, but after that unfortunately we kind of lost track of each other. I remember all of you as young children. I know this is an extremely sad time for the family. Just know in your hearts that you were blessed with such a great mother. I send my sincere sympathy, prayers and love.

I met Joyce while my Mom lived at Briarwood. Joyce was a breath of fresh air with her humor, kindness, and a certain sweet mischievous air about her that I found endearing. We teased and kidded one another and it was great fun. I wanted her children to know that a stranger grew to have a lot of admiration for their mother. She was special.

Joyce was a Special friend. We shared even our birthdays together! She made the world better- and especially Plainwell! I will never forget her endless work put into Plainwell Days and the bands that she was able to get to come to our little town! My sympathy goes out to her Family. We should all aspire to caring about people the way Joyce did!

I just came across your mom’s obit and was totally surprised. I worked with her at First of America Bank in Allegan back in the day helping with processing mortgage loan paper work. She and your dad were very proud of their Arabian Horses and we had many conversations about them as I also have horses. I have thought about her and your dad throughout the years . They were both very sweet people.
