Joyce I. Cooper

Joyce passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at her home in Gobles.

She was born July 26, 1953 in Plainwell the daughter of Vern and Mary (Adams) Dunklee. Joyce had worked at Murco, Allen Test, Kal-Equip, Plainwell Paper for 22 years and for Welches until she was injured 15 years ago.

She had a beautiful singing voice and was a skilled artist and loved to paint and do stained glass. Joyce was a puzzle master and could quickly put together any jigsaw puzzle sometimes doing 3 puzzles a day. She liked fishing especially bass and crappie. Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to all of their activities.

On October 28, 1995 she married Dale Cooper who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Bob (Lory) Leslie of Otsego, Scott (Matt) Leslie of Mt. Pleasant, Roxanne (Charles) Blades of Schoolcraft and Timothy Cooper of Marcellus; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Kathy Plotts, Shirley (Joe) Baldwin and Chris Quigley along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, LeRoy and Vern (JJ).

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held from 3-6 P.M., Saturday, October 13, 2018, at her home in Gobles.

I worked with Joyce at Murco for several years. She was a beautiful soul that brought so much happiness to work everyday! I pray God’s grace will give the family peace.
