to Joseph B. and Emily E. (Tensley) McFall. He had a full life and was loved by family and friends. He immigrated to
Detroit
in 1923 with his parents. Joseph attended Public schools in
Detroit
and graduated from
Cooley
High School
in 1938. He joined the war effort by joining the U.S. Navy in 1942. Joseph had been stationed at Great Lakes in Chicago, IL, Philadelphia, Pa and Key West, FL. While stationed at
Great Lakes
he married Edna Carolyn FitzGerald on
May 9, 1943
. After the war, Joseph finished his Tool & Die training which served him well through his working years. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna in 2003. He is survived by his children, James (JoAnn) McFall of Highland, MI, Georganne (Roger) DeRose of Racine, WI, Kevin McFall of Dallas, TX, Shawn (Theresa) McFall of Plainwell, MI and Erin McFall of Saratoga, CA; 9 grandchildren, Patrick (Heather) McFall, Michael McFall, Curtis (Brooke Helppine) McFall, Nicholas (Melissa Lanier) Spindler, Jennifer (Eric) DeKorte, Thomas McFall, Andrew McFall, Sean McFall and Patrick McFall and 4 great-grandchildren, Lexi McFall, Ashleigh McFall, Liam Casey McFall and Levi DeKorte and his brother George (Kathy) McFall of Redford, MI. Friends may meet the family at 10am on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
where funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with the Very Rev. Fr. Lawrence Bacik officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Joseph may be made to the Barry Community Hospice.
