John L. Barnhart

John Lee Barnhart, age 52, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at his home in Plainwell. John attended Plainwell Schools and grew up on the Digby Dairy Farm. 

John was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, mushrooming and fishing; and panning for gold. Since he was 15 years old farming and riding tractors were special to him. John and Nicole met in high school and were together for 35 years before finally getting married on April 20, 2024 in Plainwell. 

Also surviving are his children, Jack Barnhart (Brianna Voss), Kira Barnhart, Ella Barnhart; his mother Glenda; sisters Brenda (Alan) James, Nettie (Chad) Hayes and a brother, Randy (Amanda) Barnhart; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dale Barnhart. 

 A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
