Joan T. Brown of Plainwell passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
She was born April 19, 1941 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of August and Mary (Wright) Chapman. She was retired from Parker Hannifin Pump Division. She so loved her devoted four pawed companion, Bandit. She enjoyed making stocking hats for the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission and Wings of Hope Hospice.
Surviving are her daughter, Debora VanHouten of Plainwell, her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bekah Brown of Plainwell; her sister, Terry Pion of Otsego; her brothers, Gary Chapman of Nashville, MI and Mike Chapman of Indiana; her grandchildren, Terry Brown II, Alec VanHouten and Olivia Brown; her niece, Eva Thompson; her nephews, Ron Thompson and Jeff and Randy Pion.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Ordiway and her brothers, Vaughn and Andy Chapman.
Friends may meet with the family for a luncheon at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Otsego Methodist Church.
Friends desiring may make memorial contributions to the

Wings of Hope Hospice
