We have enjoyed all of our encounters with Joan, but the last few were especially pleasant. We always referred to her as Grandma Knight, and we always thought of her as beautiful and very strong. We watched her enjoying her family and tried to enjoy our own as much as she has enjoyed hers. We felt as if she was the matriarch of the neighborhood. There is a gaping hole in our neighborhood, her absence is noticible and greatly missed. You ALL have our deepest sympathy, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We also keep a watchful eye on Myron while he is outside.

Grandma Knight was a special lady to all who knew her. She was a shining example of perseverance and faithfulness. Joan loved her family and her three sons were her pride and joy; but she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren! She and Myron made a great team…and they were always there together to support all the Knight teams!!! From the bleachers to the auditorium, she faithfully attended games, events, graduations, recitals and concerts. Grandma Knight will be missed by many and her life should be celebrated……

I will always remember Joan with much love. She was my “payroll” mentor at APS & while we were working together she was nicknamed “Mammy”. I will always remember her sweet smile and the love she had for Myron and her family.

Grandma & grandpa knight are like my own grandparents that I didn’t have growing up. I was there all the time with my best friend Natalie. I still enjoy taking a plate of cookies to them every Christmas. She will be missed so very much.
