Jerry W. Newnum

Jerry passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 in Kalamazoo.

He was born April 21, 1943 in Lawrence, the son of Harry and Hazel (Triesenburg) Newnum. Jerry loved spending time with his family, listening to older country music, playing his guitar, bowling and fishing.

Surviving are his nieces and nephews along with their children and several extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Peggy Walker, Wanda Melson and Diana Christofalos.

Friends may meet with Jerry’s family Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego starting at 10:00 A.M. until the Service time at 11:00 A.M., Celebrant Molly Wieber officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo.

Jerry was a close friend to my father, Larry Waigand for years at Ely Manor Nursing Home in Allegan. My dad and Jerry ate supper at the same table every night. Jerry loved popscicles and soda pop. Jerry will be missed by our family. My Dad died Christmas day. May peace and love be with your family at this time! -Sharon and Larry Fales

I was a care provider for Jerry for years when he lived in Allegan. Jerry will always hold a special place in my heart. May you forever R.I.P. sweet Jerry.

I was one of Jerrys aids in Allegan, He was a very sweet man who loved his country music, his guitar, pizza, and his niece. He will be missed. Rest in peace.
