Jerry L. Greenman

Jerry passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Suji House in Kalamazoo. 

He was born March 26, 1942, in Flint, the son of Vernice and Laura (Dell) Greenman. Jerry proudly served as a mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. After his honorable discharge he continued as a mechanic until his retirement. 

Jerry enjoyed woodworking, sudoku puzzles and took great pride in keeping up his yard. On October 14, 1962, in Rapid City, South Dakota, he married Carole Smith who survives. 

Also surviving are his daughter, Deborah (Carl) Blackwood of Iowa; grandchildren, Ryan (Jessie) Coleman, Amanda Coleman, Katie (Josh) Nyberg, Lee Gregersen, Tony Blackwood, Lesa Blackwood and Teresa Blackwood; great-grandchildren, Aaryon Anderson, Tucker Anderson, Spencer Rockafellow, Nora Nyberg and Leighton Nyberg; brother, Dell (Lula) Greenman of Virginia along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sherry Gregersen and siblings Don and Virginia. 

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. 

Burial of ashes will take place at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.
