I was saddened to hear of Jerry’s death. My thoughts are with his family. He and I fished together for several years on Lake Norman in North Carolina. His fishing nickname was “Skinnydipper”. R.I.P. old friend.

My heart is very heavy over the passing of Jerry. He was my brother-in-law for over 35 years. He was a fun loving, witty, and very kind person. He was such an important part of our family. We had so many good times together, and we have so many wonderful memories. He was a great uncle to my boys, and they loved him dearly. Jerry was truly unique. Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten. REST IN PEACE, SWEET JERRY. You’ll always be in our hearts. I love you forever. Pam

I am so sorry to hear of Jerry’s death; I’ll miss his funny emails. Although I didn’t get to see him that often, he was a beloved member of our family here in the South (my cousin is Jane , his former wife) and we will all miss him. I hope that you will have many happy memories of Jerry to console you, as we all will. I send my deepest sympathy to your family. Joreita Shimer, Gaffney, SC

We are saddened by Jerry’s passing. Fortunate to have shared his final few months reliving all the crazy things we did together as youngsters. Friends since age 6. We experienced so many of life’s firsts together. Our thoughts are with family, friends.

Jerry married my mom when I was nine, by ten I knew every Janis Joplin song by heart. His many trips to Japan for Eaton inspired me to take Japanese. We always had so much fun boating and just hanging out. He inspired me and always supported me. I’ll miss you and love you forever Papa- San.
