Jeffrey Reicherts

Jeff passed away, Tuesday, August 27, 2024. He was born April 9, 1970, in Lorado, Texas. On April 20, 1996, he married the love of his life, Ann, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Kerri (Chris) Totten of Plainwell and Jacob (Grace) Reicherts of Gobles; 4 grandchildren, Lucas, Lilly, Logan and Layla; his parents, David Reicherts and Sharon (Marv) Stewart; siblings, Jason (Kelly) Reicherts, Richard (Pam) Johnson and Lisa (Larry) Osiecki along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a great nephew. 

If you knew Jeff, you knew what a kind, sweet and likable person he was. His smile lit up the room and he laughed hard when he got going. He really was the best person you ever met. He always did the right thing and was bothered by those who did not. 

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and environmentalist, handyman, and above all else he loved his family. He was enthusiastic about traveling the country to visit all the national parks, camping along the way. When he wasn't traveling, he always had some kind of project going, whether his own house or helping others. He loved spending time in nature hiking, fishing, and hunting and he could tell you the name of just about any bird you could hear. 

His family meant everything to him, from camping trips with his parents to sporting events and watching a ball game with his friends, or an annual trip to MIS. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, he thrived in his role as their “Pappy”.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may meet with Jeff’s family from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. To honor Jeff’s memory and love for the Tigers the family has requested visitors wear Tigers apparel.
