Janette E. Willard

Janette passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.

She was born December 31, 1927 in Portland, MI, the daughter of Allen and Reva (Atwell) Mills. Janette was a hard worker and spent many years working on the family farm.  She was a member of the Crystal Club and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cross stitching. Janette loved animals especially her many cats.

In 1948 in Kalamazoo she married Lyle Willard who passed away in 2011.

Surviving are her children, Robert Willard of Scotts, JoAnne (Donald) Crane of Kalamazoo and Steven (Cheryl) Willard of Greenville; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Doris Swan and Lillian Corning.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandsons, Karl Grimm and Nicholas Willard and brother, Howard Mills.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

Burial of ashes for Lyle and Janette will take place at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 6, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.

My sincere sympathy for the loss of your mom. I will always remember her and how caring and funny she was. She made me feel like a part of the family. She will be missed.
