Janet passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo.
She was born January 9, 1945 in Allegan, the 4
th
of 7 children, to Kenneth and Theo (Bussey) Plotts. Janet was a purchasing clerk at Safari Circuits for several years until her retirement. Janet loved the simple things like watching the birds, walks and going for rides when she was able. She also had a quiet sense of adventure. She often underestimated herself but excelled at anything she tried. She was a talented woodworker and gardener.
After being diagnosed with cancer she postponed treatment to take a trip to Florida with her lifelong friends affectionately known as The Ladybugs and went parasailing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. On December 14, 1962, she married Robert James Buckmaster Jr. who survives.
Also surviving are her children, Teresa Kathleen Jeffries of Kalamazoo, Kenneth James (Tammy) Buckmaster of TN and Keith Andrew Buckmaster of Paw Paw, 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and siblings, Sharon Oisten, Judy, Wright, Gary Plotts and Sue McDonnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Claudette Sinclair and Toby Prymula.
She was loved by everyone who knew her.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
Burial of ashes will be take place at Mountain Home Cemetery in the spring.

So sad to hear this. I worked with Jan at Safari for many years. She was such a sweet lady. We always looked forward to Halloween to see what her costume would be. She also keep us supplied with a candy dish at her work station. She will be missed by many. Rest in Heaven Jan. Thoughts and prayers for her family and friends

So sorry to hear of Jan’s pasing. We worked together for many years at Kal Equip as well as Safari. She was a team player and willing to do whatever job that was needed.
