Jim passed away, Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Kauhale in Otsego.
He was born September 23, 1940, in Elgin, Illinois, the son of James and Agnes (Sabatino) Gaudio. Jim was a 1959 Kalamazoo Central graduate and lifelong resident of the area. For over 30 years he worked as a machinist at Durametallic/Flow Serve until his retirement.
Jim was a car enthusiast and enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows all over southwest Michigan. He was a member of the Gilmore Car Museum where he enjoyed attending Wednesday night gatherings with his friends. He liked keeping up his yard and being outdoors. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. On November 16, 1962, at St. Luke Episcopal Church in Kalamazoo, he married Barbara Bruner who survives.
Also surviving are his son, Jeffrey (Michele) Gaudio of Plainwell, siblings, Elaine Hine and Robert Gaudio along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Mabel Gaudio.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends may visit with Jim’s family starting at 10:00 A.M, Friday, September 20, 2024, at St. Margaret Catholic Church until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Simon Manjooran officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery.
