Jack passed away, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at his home in Plainwell, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 26, 1936, in Perry, Oklahoma, the son of Jess and Jennie (Brumitt) Trumbla. Jack worked at Goder’s Automotive, was a partner at Kalamazoo Speed Shop and retired after 25 years at the age of 60 from the State Technical Institute where he was an automotive instructor.
Jack loved being on the golf course, cars and traveling. On August 3, 1991, at their home in Plainwell he married Kay Somerlott-Nowak who survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Ronnie (Jo Ann) Trumbla of Kalamazoo and Carl (Vicky) Trumbla of Lawton; grandsons, Brandon and Cody; sister, Delma Young; several nieces and nephews and close friends, Bill and Joyce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Lee and siblings, George Trumbla, Wilma Thomas and Jane Tyler.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends may visit with Jack’s family from 1-3 PM, Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
Private family burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.
The family invites friends to join them for a time of fellowship following the burial at their home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jack may be directed to Centrica Care Navigators.
