Jack Mitchell of Plainwell, MI passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 in Kalamazoo. Jack was born July 16, 1939 in Montmorency County, Lewiston to Leslie & Doris (Carlson) Mitchell. He had been employed for over 30 years at Plainwell Paper Company and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; his children, Sheri Mitchell, Rosamond, CA, Douglas & Pamela Mitchell, Grandville, MI, Robert & Katie Mitchell, Milford, OH; grandchildren, Nicole & Mike Rodriguez, Brycen, Joshua, Carter, Racheal, Jeremiah, Connor, Angelia, Dustin & Abby Schuiteboer, Rusty & Rachael Schuiteboer, August & Amanda Schuiteboer; great grandchildren, Isabella, Eric, Anna, Jonah, Logan, Lexie, Chloe, Izik, Hunter, Colton, Cassie, McKinsey, Emily, Reed and best friends, Mark & Shawn; sister, Judy & Richard Cohoon and brother Leslie (Butch). He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Stella Newell.
Friends may meet with his family at the
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. for a family and friends gathering which will include a slideshow and some sharing that will be led by his family.
Contributions in memory of Jack may be made to Christian Neighbors or West Michigan Cancer Center.
