Sorry I could not be with you today. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Liz was a great, fun lady and we had good times and I admired her artistic talent. There will be a candle lit for her at church for one week. Things were not always easy for her but she always smiled for me.

Mrs. Kong was one of my favorite customers at the Allegan District Library. She was so tiny, but she always came in with a huge bag of books—we wondered how she could carry them! She knew what she wanted—mysteries! Not the current bestsellers, but *old* mysteries like the ones by Erle Stanley Gardner and Ellery Queen. We seemed to have enough to keep her going, because she filled her bag back up every visit! We talked about books and other things, and soon she started bringing me the cutest little crayon drawings. I pinned them up in my office to remind myself to be cheerful! She was one of the people I missed most after retiring. She carried so much positive things energy around with her—she was truly an inspiration. I’m very sorry for your loss.
