to Lydia Garrels and Leonard Mihlheim. Rick was raised in
Iowa
and
California
. In
California
Rick and his dad were in the oil well drilling business. In 1940 Rick and his dad, Leonard, founded the Crescent Machine & Nipple Company in Allegan. Rick remained there for 46 years until his retirement in 1986. On
November 21, 1939
he married his sweetheart from grade school, Jo Becker. Rick was very proud to be in the Marine Corps in World War II. He was a proud and faithful member of the Allegan Lions Club and obtained the 60 Year Member Monarch Chevron Award. Rick was active in the community, he was the Secretary for 25 years for the Mechanical Bank Collectors International, the longtime Secretary for the Men’s Monday Night Bowling League, a former 33

Degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the
Allegan
United
Methodist
Church
. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Jo; his son Mark F. Mihlheim of Allegan; his granddaughter and her husband, Christine and Mac White, and 3 great-grandchildren, Justin, Jenna and Jayla White all of
Conroe
,
TX
. Friends may meet with his family from 2-4 and
6-8 P.M.
Tuesday at
Winkel Funeral Home.
Funeral and committal services will be held at the
Allegan
United
Methodist
Church
on Wednesday at
11 A.M.
with Pastor Bob Stover and Pastor Robert Pumfrey officiating. Immediately following the services all are invited to the church fellowship hall for refreshments. Private interment will follow at
Hudson
Corners
Cemetery
, Allegan. Memorial gifts may be made to the Allegan Lions Club or to the
Allegan
United
Methodist
Church
.
