Herbert F. Councell

Herbert F. Councell of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Kalamazoo. Mr. Councell was born August 3, 1917 in Cooper Township to Garret and Ada (Roak) Councell. He had worked for UpJohn Pharmaceutical until his retirement. Surviving are his sons, Kenneth (Sondra) Councell of Hartford and Russell Councell of Otsego; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Peck of Climax; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Wood) Councell; parents; step-father, Nathan Porter; daughter-in-law, Sharon Councell; siblings, Eva Bager, Laura Town, Elenore Smith, Doris Stohrer-Petterson, Charles Councell and Jack Porter. Cremation has taken place, burial of ashes will be at Galesburg Cemetery on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11am.Contributions in memory of Herbert may be made to Hospice Care of S.W. MI or you may perform an act of kindness in memory of Herbert.
