Helen E. Mchale

Helen E. McHale of Otsego, Michigan, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at her home. Helen was born May 1, 1937 in Plainwell, the daughter of Frank and Mary ‘Lillie’ (Green) Townsend. Helen had been a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the Otsego Moose. Helen enjoyed crocheting, drawing, playing the organ, gardening, painting and feeding the squirrels.

On April 13, 1963 at the Church of God in Otsego, she married William E. McHale Sr. who preceded her in death February 19, 2008. Surviving are her son William A. ‘Bill’ McHale of Otsego and her sister, Chris Strelow of Plainwell; 2 step daughters, Elaine Pennisi of Monterey, CA and Debra Helean of Twin Falls, ID; a sister-in-law, Virginia Allen and numerous cousins. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Margaret ‘Marg’ Brown and Bernice Rogers and a brother, Frank E. Townsend. Friends may meet with the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the

where services will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Bill Smith of the Kalamazoo Youth For Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Southern Care Hospice.
