Hazel passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Wings Home Hospice in Allegan. She was born March 14, 1933 in Town Creek, Alabama, the daughter of Clint and Jessie Mae Terry. On December 22, 1948 she married Ralph Bumgart. Hazel enjoyed gardening, canning, and caring for her home and family. She was an excellent cook and faithful Christian.
Surviving are her children, Brenda Spitzer, Marty (Tom) Meert and Bill (Teresa) Bumgart, 7 grandchildren: Melissa Russell, Brian (Kari) Meert, Ryan (Shannon) Meert, Kevin (Mindy) Meert, Tara (Jake) Drewyor, Trevor (Haley) Bumgart and Tessa (Charles) Crouch, many great grandchildren, her sister Jean (Roy) Bellingar, brother Kenneth (Kerry) Terry and her special friend Karna Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, great granddaughter Makenna, siblings, John, Etta, Robert, Lacey, Besmer, Dee, Edna, J.C., M.C., R.T. and Luardean.
Friends may visit with Hazel’s family starting at 12:30P.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell until the time of the graveside service at 1:00 P.M. with Celebrant Mary Ann Devries officiating. In memory of Hazel contributions may be made to the
