Gloria Sinkler
Gloria Sinkler of Otsego, Michigan passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Sinkler was born December 7, 1959 in Kalamazoo to Robert and Mary (Hoort) DeKoekkoek. She was a 1978 graduate of Plainwell High School, enjoyed music, child care and was loved by many. On July 13, 1979 in Plainwell she married David Sinkler who survives; also surviving are 3 children, Penny (Darren) Kinsler of Kalamazoo, Phyllis (Mike) Brant of Plainwell and Dan Sinkler of Otsego; 7 grandchildren, Maliki, Damien, Trinity, Willie, Aurora, Shara and Orion; her parents, Robert and Mary DeKoekkoek; 3 brothers, Doug DeKoekkoek, Steve DeKoekkoek and Jimmy DeKoekkoek and a sister, Carol Moreno. She was preceded by a brother Denny DeKoekkoek.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 22 at North Park Reformed Church, Gary DeKoekkoek officiating.

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF GLORIA’S PASSING, I REMEMBER HER SO WELL GROWING UP AT CALVARY CHURCH WHEN I WENT THERE AND WHEN SHE CAME TO THE FARM WITH DAVID WHEN HE WORKED FOR KEN TENDING TO THE RABBITS. WHAT A SWEET GIRL, SHE WILL BE AN ANGEL IN HEAVEN. MY HEART GOES TO THE FAMILY, ESPECIALLY DAVID.

David: I was so sorry to read about Gloria’s passing. Just wanted to pass along my condolences to you and your family. I enjoyed our visits at the Cancer Center. I know how much Gloria loved taking care of those grandchildren and how much she loved them. God now has another angel in heaven. Bless you.
