Gloria J. Lafountain
Gloria passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at her home in Otsego.
She was born August 19, 1952 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Melvin and Betty (Randall) Hawley.
She enjoyed watching the birds, especially hummingbirds, taking care of her chickens, cooking, keeping her house tidy and going to garage sales. Gloria lived for her family and loved spending time with and taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On January 18, 1969 in Otsego, she married Richard “Rick” LaFountain who survives. Also surviving are her 5 children, Deb (David) VanDerHoff, Dixie LaFountain, Ricky LaFountain, Amanda (Micah) Herring and Amy LaFountain all of Otsego; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and by her sister, Doris Bular of Allegan.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Don, Ron, Gary and Doug.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Sorry to hear of Gloria’s passing. I went to school with your Mother and we were friends during our school years. Gone too soon. So sorry for your loss.

I knew gloria from her being a caring neighbor to a gentleman i took care of for awhile, i also knew her from coming into dollar general when i worked there.I am sadden that she has passed but rejoice that she is in a better place, may God comfort you all at this time
