It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gloria Jeanne (Ellis) Holden on February 24th, 2025.
Gloria was born March 7th, 1952, in Grand Junction to Al and Ella (Gile) Ellis, being the 5th of 7 children. She was lovingly known as Jeannie to her family and friends. Jeannie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be forever missed. Her sense of humor made her the bright spot at every get together and people adored her.
She always wanted to be a comedian and actress, which she would have excelled at, and we were all lucky enough to be her audience. She was kind, generous, loving, hardworking and took much pride in keeping her yard mowed and beautifully landscaped. She loved porch sitting and enjoyed the beauty around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Al and Ella (Gile) Ellis, her sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Gary Joostberns and a very special brother-in-law, Dwight Fargo.
Jeannie started the C.O.F.F.E.E Club (Circle of Friends For Ever and Ever) and included Susie Bard, Pam Puckett and Kitty Sharpsteen Cullum. Their friendship spanned 60 years, and she treasured the vacations they took together, and the many memories made along the way.
Jeannie leaves behind her children, Angel (Greg) Pohl and Billy Holden. Her grandchildren Skylar Loll, Drake (Kayla) Loll and Macy G Holden, as well as her great grandson Stiles Loll. Jeannie leaves her siblings, Marilyn (Bob) Peck, Onalee (Mike) Milbocker, Butch (Shelly) Ellis, Sam (Brenda) Ellis and Roxie Fargo. She had many nieces, nephews and cousins she adored.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
