Gertrude passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Indiana.
She was born November 9, 1922 in Kalamazoo the daughter of William and Mary (Links) Groen. Gert was a member of First Congregational Church of Otsego. In her spare time she enjoyed reading.
Surviving are her children, Linda Goodrich, Nancy Magi, Martin (Jo) Meyer, Barbara (John) Dermott, Richard (Michelle) Meyer and Tina (Dan) Raak; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jacob; son-in-laws, Ray and Seer and by her siblings.
Friends may visit with Gert’s family from 6-8 P.M., Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 16, 2017 at the First Congregational Church of Otsego with Pastor Darin Youngs officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South, Kalamazoo.
