When we moved to Parchment, he was our neighbor. Although he was quiet, he was friendly and kind and he and his family made us feel welcome to the neighborhood. He was a good man.

We will miss Uncle JR’s laugh and kindness. He was always a lot of fun to have around. I remember his love for puzzles and playing cards. We look forward to when we will all be reunited in Heaven. We are keeping you in our prayers.

I have been looking for Gaylord for a very long time. I was stationed with Gaylord as a roommate in the barracks at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan. And now on 9/12/17 I finally found the city he lived in. I had everything else, name etc. I am sorry to be just a year late on finding him. He was a very great guy and loved his Bible. So I must say we lost a great man. I was surprised on the Bird watching, Again sorry for your loss. May God Bless.

I also was a roommate of Gaylord at K.I. Sawyer in 1972. The man loved his gospel music. I remember waking up every morning to Pat Boone singing “I’ll be home for Christmas.” He was a kind man. May he rest in peace.
