Gary Nimtz

Gary A. Nimtz of Otsego, Michigan, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 in Kalamazoo. Gary was born March 29, 1952 in Plainwell to Arthur and Betty (Filkins) Nimtz.

In 1970 he graduated from Otsego High School. For over 26 years Gary lived in the Boston area, where he was employed as an accountant and bookkeeper.

Surviving are his father, Arthur Nimtz of Otsego and Florida; a brother and two sisters, Larry Nimtz of Plainwell, Carol Miller of Otsego and Karen (Rick) Clemens of Kalamazoo; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog, Millie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Nimtz, in 2011.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with his family on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 10 to 11 A.M. at the

Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego

, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Darrin Youngs officiating. Burial of ashes will be at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego.

To all the family,

I am so sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. I had recently talked with Larry and he said Gary was at his Dad’s, but wasn’t well.

I was very fond of Gary and wished I could have known him better, but with him in the east, of course, I didn’t see him often.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all in the loss of such a loved family member.

I will try to see you all on Saturday.

Dear Family of Gary,

Tim and I were so very saddened to hear of Gary’s death. He was a good friend and whenever we saw him, he always gave us his beautiful smile! I shall always remember his beautiful eyes and charming laughter! May he rest in peace and please know that he is now an Angel in Heaven watching over you! The memories you have of Gary will always stay in your hearts! God Bless all of you!
