Garth W. King, Jr. of Plainwell, Michigan, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at Life Care Center in Plainwell. He was born November 17, 1943 in Kalamazoo to Garth and Anna (Welch) King.
For over 42 years he was employed with Graphic Packaging. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Portage.
On June 4, 1971 in Portage, Michigan he married
Lois Martin
, who passed away in March 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his children, David King of Otsego, Matthew (Kara) King of Arizona, Paul King of Plainwell, Lynda (Andrew) Baker of Warsaw, Indiana, and Amy King of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Boodt of Oklahoma and Gene Boodt of Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may meet with Garth’s family on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Bill Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo.

I had the priveledge of working with Garth for many years at Graphic Packaging. Garth was a very quiet man and was well liked by many, he had a lot of quirky mannerisms that everyone enjoyed and a strong work ethic for his job. I know he was really missed since his retirement. RIP OL Buddy and my prayers go out to all his family.
