to Frank and Ellen (Hacksell) Van Gorder. For many years he was employed as a Tool and Die Maker retiring from Usher Tool & Die in Dutton. He was an Army Veteran of WW II, serving in

Belgium

and

Germany

, where he took part in the Berlin Air Lift. Frank was a Life Member of the Otsego V.F.W. Post #3030 where he was active in the Honor Guard and was Past Commander. He was the V.F.W. District Inspector, volunteered with the V.F.W. National Home and drove Veterans to the VA Hospital in

Ann Arbor

. On

October 6, 1951

he married Lorena Clemens, who died in 2001. Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Anita, in 1957, and five siblings, Harry Burton, Dorothy, Jack, Wilbur And Hazel. Surviving are three daughters, Leslie (Norm) Pigeon of Hopkins, Annette Eichler of Allegan and her Fiancé Michael Blue, and Melain (Richie) Dekker of Dorr; 7 Grandchildren, Adam, Jesse, Raechel, Erin, Cara, Casey and Pieter; 4 Sisters-in-law, Mickey Addair, Joyce (Bob) Vanderpal, Jolene Bryan and Inez Clemens; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and

Winkel Funeral Home,

Otsego

where services will be held at

11:00 A.m.

Tuesday. Military Graveside Honors at

Mountain

Home

Cemetery

, Otsego, will be conducted by V.F.W. Post #3030. Contributions in memory of Frank may be made to the V.F.W. National Home for Children.
