Grandma Great you were a great, loving, and inspiring person. You will be truly missed by so many people. I will always remember the many memories of my childhood at the farm house, thanksgiving, Christmas, etc… and most of all picking all of the raspberries from the bushes in back.. I love you, and I will see you again some day. Lots of Love.

My thoughts and prayers are with France’s family. I spent time at hers and Claude”s home over a period of time with my sister-in-law and theirs, Joyce Hiemstra. I enjoyed them thoroughly, they were good kind people. She will be missed by many I am sure of that.

Judy — So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I know she was having some difficulties, so perhaps it is a blessing. She certainly lived a long life and, hopefully, a full and rich one. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the entire Hiemstra family.

I receive the Kalamazoo Gazette in my inbox and saw this just this morning. I remember your Mom as a very sweet lady who seemed to have unending patience when inundated with teenagers hanging around. She was, is and will continue to be a very beautiful woman in the presence of those who have gone before. I believe she was cheered on by ” a great cloud of witnesses” as she entered the arena of Heaven having “run and finished the race set before her”.
No matter how old we are, losing our parents will always cause us to feel like orphans.

Joyce, there’s never a good time to lose someone you love. It’s a loss we can never prepare for and one that no one else can ever fill. But we hold on to our memories, and hold closer to those whom we still have with us. As much as we miss them, our Moms are happy and watching over us everywhere we go.

Judy, Dennis and all of your family. We were sad to learn of your loss. Your Mom lived a good and long life but it doesn’t seem like there is ever a time to let go of our loved ones. Hopefully, all of your good memories and knowing that she is at peace will bring you comfort. God’s blessings to all.

Carl (Louie),
I extend my condolences to you and your family. My mother was 95 also when she went home to be with our Lord.
I never had the opportunity to meet your mother, but read the remarks of your many friends about her. It appears to have been my loss for not knowing her; but she obviously instilled her character and integrity in her children. I enjoyed your friendship while at OHS. And I know you reflected her values.
Praise God for godly, loving mothers; how fortunate we were!
I’ve been praying for you during this difficult time.
