. Mrs. Hobbs was born

June 29, 1920

in Bloomingdale to Lester and Irene (Fleckenstein) Leversee and was a lifelong resident of the area. For several years she was employed with Shakespeare and then with Kalamazoo Metal Protection for 15 years, retiring 33 years ago. Elaine was very skilled in needle crafts and was a doll maker and collector. She was a member of The Crystal Club since the early 1970’s. On

she married Alfred ‘Jim’

Hobbs

, who died in 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents; her siblings, Raymond ‘Bud’ (Dorothy) Leversee, Lesley (Jean) Leversee, Harold (Johan) Leversee, Lois Wertz and Barbara Paff. Surviving are two sisters and a brother, Betty Srackangast, Gerald (Neva) Leversee and Gloria Leversee, all of Comstock; two brothers-in-law, Bob Wertz and Heinz Paff; many nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A Graveside service will be held at
