Edna J. Mattison of Alamo Township passed away

. Mrs. Mattison was born

April 26, 1918

in

Kalamazoo

to William and Alma (Eberhard) Goodhart and was a lifelong resident of the area. Edna was an active member of the Alamo Community Congregational Church, a faithful Detroit Tiger fan, an avid reader, sewer, knitter and euchre player. She enjoyed making clothing for her grandchildren. For many years she volunteered at the Alamo Nursing Home. In 2005 she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Mattison. Surviving are a son and two daughters, Michael (Bonnie) Mattison of Alamo, Pat Wiggins of Milwaukee, Oregon and Judy (Tony) Sanderson of Plainwell; three grandchildren, Brian (Jenn) Mattison, Jeremy (Anne) Sanderson and Rachel Sanderson; three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Tristian and Elizabeth Sanderson; and a sister, Dorothy Howard of Plainwell; many nieces and nephews. Friends may meet with her family from 2 to 4 and

Winkel Funeral Home,

Otsego.

Funeral services will be held at

10:00 A.M.

Saturday at the Alamo Community Congregational Church, Rev. Richard Larson officiating. Burial will follow at

Alamo
