So sorry to hear of Uncle DuWayne’s passing. I know he is with our Lord in a much better place, watching over all of you. I will always remember all the fun times we had on the farm when we were younger, riding the horse, climbing the trees and spending the week so we could go to Bible School. Prayers for Aunt Jean and all the family. Love you all and wish I could be there to help celebrate his life with all of you.
Love & Hugs

My memories of DuWayne or Mr Hicks as we first called him, go
back 61 years to a much more simple time of life. A time when
neighbors helped each other and looked out for each other. My
entire family is saddened by his passing. He was a very special
man to all of us. My sympathies to his entire family and may he
rest in peace.

Our love to Jean, Robert, Maurice, Doris and all the grandkids & greats. There is not enough room to relay what ” Grandpa Ficks ” meant to our family. (our kids couldn’t say Hicks!)
My personal vision of Heaven now is of DuWayne & Brian, sitting on a porch somewhere, sipping a lemonade, and watching the young pigs get fat for market!.
We will miss him forever. Mark & Sherri Bronson

Jean and all of you. I’m sorry we are not there to tell you in person how sad we are that “Uncle” DuWayne is gone. I think I was in my teens before I realized that you weren’t really my Aunt and Uncle … but my cousins. However you are still my Aunt & Uncle in my heart. Robert, Debbie, Maurice, Debbie, Doris and all of your kids….I can not explain the hole your dad’s passing has left in my heart = he is/was one of the last links to my mom. I’ll be able to hug your mom, Jean, when I get back to Michigan in a few weeks. I’m sorry we are not there now to do the same with you. We love you all! Susan & Bill

Aunt Jean and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I too have great memories of Uncle DuWayne and playing on the farm with the kids, I would have been at the funeral if I had know of his passing, Unfortunately I didn’t find out until the day after his funeral. I would loved to have seen you Aunt Jean as well the kids. It’s been forever since I have seen them. My love and prayers for comfort are with you all.
