Dr. Jeffrey S. Taylor

Dr. Jeffrey S. Taylor passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.

He was born August 27, 1944 in Grand Ledge, the son of Ralph and Margaret (Brown) Taylor. Dr. Taylor owned and operated Taylor Chiropractic Clinic in Otsego until his semi-retirement. He was always willing to assist his son Brett who took over the practice in 2018.

In his free time Jeff loved flying and held his pilot’s license since 1974. He enjoyed hunting deer, wild boar and other wild game in Michigan and Tennessee. Jeff was a devoted member of New Life Victory Church in Comstock where he served as an elder and loved worshipping with his church family.

On October 31, 1964 at the First Congregational Church in Otsego, he married Cheryl Scott who survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the New Life Victory Church, 2775 S. 26

Dr Taylor was the best chiropractor I ever knew. A very caring man. I had bad scoliosis and he straightened it out. I was a teenager then in a lot of pain and he patiently fixed me. I will never forget what he did for me when seven specialists couldn’t. RIP. My condolences for the family.

I’m so sorry this world has lost such an amazing, caring and positive man. Heaven definitely gained an Angel! I always looked forward to his contagious smile and stories about his family. I told him recently how much I loved Cheryl’s hair. His response to me was “She’s my silver fox”. This melted my heart. He loved his family first and foremost. He was proud of each and every one of you! My prayers and love are with all of you.

I was so sorry to hear about Dr. Taylor. As I told you before, Cheryl, when I first started at the MAC back in 2004, he was extremely helpful and we could always count on him to contact a legislator or put his name on an op-ed. I always enjoyed seeing him at conventions. He will be greatly missed.

We have been out of town since the 10th of Sept. and such sad news to come home to. We just was talking to Jeff and Cheryl at the car show at BC Pizza and we were going to make plane to get to get together once again for dinner. I will always cherish the big hug that he gave me when they left and him saying the hw was looking forward to getting together for dinner at the Gun Lake Casino Buffet. Jeff

What a great man, always smiling, looked at the bright side, walked with Jesus, and always listened and gave me advice. He helped me understand more about God’s WORD. Unfortunately and a blessing; I only knew Jeff for about 18 years, he was not only my brother-in-law but he was my other brother.

I know he is with us and will help us to continue to grow. I love you Jeff! We will try to walk in your footsteps. Love Peter

Cheryl, so sorry for your loss.

We have been friends for so many years, Jeff was a fun loving person who would always put a smile on your face. Most of our time spent together was in High School and the Track and Field Team where Jeff broke the State Mile Record and ran the final leg of the medley relay to add another school record that stood for many years. We were able to meet a few years ago on a camping trip and had a great time catching up on old times and families. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
