I remember Doug as a sweet and special cousin, not one family gathering that I attended that Doug didn’t make me laugh. He was always fun to be around and I will truly miss him.

I want to tell the family my Prayers are with them in there time of sorrow. Doug was a very special kind of guy for sure. He could keep a straight face and tell you something and you never knew if he was telling the truth or not. He loved picking on me. Doug had to be one of my favorite cousins. He just had that kind of kind personality. Every time I seen him he was always smiling. I seen him less then a month ago doing something he loved to do. Showing his car off. He came and gave me a big hug told me he Loved me. And then had to pick on me a few times. He had such a great sense of humor. He shared me me that he was excited about having his new granddaughter soon. And how happy he was about it. Doug was a great man and he will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

Worked with Doug at Parker and he was such a nice man. Always nice to everyone, no matter what. I have only heard good things about him, from anyone who knew him.
Mike and my very deepest sympathy to Doug’s family. He was way to young to have to say goodbye to. Just breaks my heart that he worked so hard for Parker and just getting ready to retire and enjoy retirement and his new grandchild and now he is gone.
May God’s grace be with all you loved him. Someday God will give us the answers to why He took Doug at such a young age.
In Christ Love,
Mike and Agnes Vanarsdal

Doug….. a Good Man. A man that I fully trusted with the care of my daughter when she was young and stayed many nights with Alicia. Also a man that I seen almost daily before his shift. Always a sincere hello and how are you and Jeff doing. So sad to see him go, but I have comfort in knowing he will be close to his kids and grandkids. Doug, you have shown many at Parker what it truly is to be a good man, hard worker, and wonderful friend. You will be missed for sure.
Alicia and Matt: I hope you can find peace in knowing he will always be near. You had a great role model and great parent. My love and prayers will be with you. <3

So sad to hear the news about our classmate Doug! I find it so amazing so many of us have stayed in and around our home town and never knew what happened to each other after we graduated or run into each other. I remember Doug as this sweet shy kid with a great smile and the coolest cars in our class and sad that after 41 years never saw him again. R.I.P. Doug and may God bring peace to your families hearts!
