Dorothy L. Digby of Otsego, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, in Allegan. Mrs. Digby was born June 30, 1940, in Chicago to Larus and Ethel (Rumpf) Gislason.
She was employed with Angle Steel, then the AFC Home in Plainwell and then as a driver for the Allegan County Mental Health van. Her favorite leisure activity was horseback riding. She also enjoyed playing pool and yard sales. Most of all Dorothy loved being with her family.
On August 14, 1982, in Otsego she married Kenelm Digby, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter, Jim (Carol) Virnala of Delton, Dean (Trina) Madonia of Nashville, TN and Lori (John) Hostetler of Greenville, MI; seven grandchildren; three step-children, Mark Digby, Terri (Rick) Brumm and Chellie Digby, all of Otsego; 14 step-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Durkee of Minneapolis, MN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two step-daughters, Penny Digby and Deb Cornell, and a sister, Judy Temp.
Friends may visit with her family from 10-11am Monday, September 16, 2013, at the
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
, where a funeral service will be held at 11am. Burial will follow at Alamo Center Cemetery.
