Dora passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at her home in Otsego.
She was born October 9, 1927 in Brownsville, Texas the daughter of Moises and Teresa (Ramirez) Guzman. Dora had been the homecoming queen at her high school in Palmetto, Texas. After moving to Michigan she had worked at the State Hospital in Kalamazoo for several years.
Dora was a great cook and enjoyed taking care of her family. She also enjoyed volunteering with Cruzio and St. Vincent de Paul at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kalamazoo. She married Jose Trevino in Brownsville, Texas and together they spent more than 60 wonderful years together until his passing in 2004.
Surviving are her children, Yolanda Halstead of Ohio, Rosalinda Trevino of Kalamazoo, Marcie (Scott) Beattie of Shelbyville, Raymond (Ann) Trevino of Alamo, Hector (Maria) Trevino of Gobles, Laura (William Parks) Trevino of Douglas and Mary (Douglas) Coble of Otsego; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with her brother, Rene (Sonya) Guzman of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Sylvia Stamp, Joseph Trevino and Tony Trevino; great-granddaughter, Angelique Halstead and by her siblings, Moises, Gracie, Eddie and Milo.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
Burial of ashes will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kalamazoo at a later time.

My mother in-law was a very beautiful women, both in body and spirit.
She loved all of her children equally.
She will be greatly missed by myself, and others of that,
I am sure.
