Donna J. Jarvis

Donna J. (Kohlhoff) Jarvis of Allegan, Michigan, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, in Kalamazoo. Donna was born June 17, 1942 in Benton Harbor to Leo and Leola (Hawks) Kohlhoff. She had earned a scholarship at Interlochen Music Camp and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. For many years she had been employed as an operator with the phone company. She was an honorary member of the Ladies Aide and loved reading and knitting. Donna was a very quiet, intelligent woman who overcame many adversities and will be sorely missed by the following survivors: 4 daughters, Crystal (Michael) Brennan of Allegan, Michelle (John) Speck of Hamilton, Dawn (James) LaLonde of Clio and JoAnne (Mark) Giles of Allegan; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 3 sisters, Robert Kohlhoff of South Haven, Lois (Larry) Maxwell of Bangor, Joyce (John) Watts of Allegan and Jean Renzelman of Pueblo, CO; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, JoAnne. Friends may meet the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Allegan, Pastor Ron Kruse officiating. Cremation will follow. Contributions in memory of Donna may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
