Dolores A. Cook

Dolores went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 23, 2023 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.

She was born August 19, 1935 the daughter of Stanley and Thelma (Miller) Neal. On September 5, 1956 she married Donald Cook who preceded her in 2019. Dolores retired from Bronson Hospital where she had worked as a nurse for 14 years. In her free time she enjoyed reading, baking and quilting. Dolores was very proud of her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Dennis (LuAnn) Cook of Galesburg, David (Lorie) Cook of Otsego and Darcy (Ken) Hall of Coldwater; grandchildren, Sarah (Jeff), Drew, Brittney (Armando) Mares, Gabriel (Becky) Hall, Savanah (Dalton) Porter, Michael Hall and William Cook; 11 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Stanley ‘Buck’ Neal; sister, Eileen (Marshall) Graham and a niece Delora Graham.

Friends may meet with Dolores’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church in Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Nathaniel Timmermann officiating.

Burial will take place at East Cooper Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.

Contributions in memory of Dolores may be made to Peace Lutheran Church of Otsego.

With love from your sister Phyllis. So sorry that we’re not able to attend the funeral services. I will miss our many conversations, they were uplifting and special. I looked forward to the wisdom and love that they gave me. You will always be in my heart. I will love you forever and beyond.
