Dennis A. Robinson of Otsego, MI passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at his home. Dennis was born December 16, 1938 in Kalamazoo, the son of Asa Robinson and Garni (Stopher) Burr. He graduated from Plainwell High School in the class of 1956 and he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963. Dennis was employed as a Substation Journeyman Tech. with Newkirk Electric retiring in 2002, and was a member of IBEW Local 876 for 36 years. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, NRA – Trappers Assoc., VFW Dad’s #56 and a metal detecting club. Dennis enjoyed golf, metal detecting, sports, his family, hunting and fishing and was a good friend of Bill W. for 32 years. On May 7, 1966 in Parchment, he married the former
Lena Maze
who survives. Also surviving are 5 children and their spouses, Sue (Gary) Zylstra, Bill (Carey) Burmeister, Nancy (Steve) Motter, Dennis (Barbara) Robinson and Darren (Jenny) Robinson; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter. Friends may meet with the family Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Winkel Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM, Pastor Ray Brown officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #3030 at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Borgess VNA and Hospice services.
