Dean Spaulding of Plainwell passed Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at his home in Plainwell. Dean was born March 17, 1960 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Robert and Margorie (Cook) Spaulding.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, macramé and watching sports on TV especially the University of Michigan. What Dean loved most of all was spending time with his grandchildren. On March 17, 1984 he married Carol Ruthruff who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Abraham (Elizabeth) Spaulding, Luke (Deb) Spaulding and Charity Spaulding; 5 grandchildren, Savannah, Aiden, Ella, Charles and Gabby; his siblings, Debbie (James) Wert, Dan and Dennis Spaulding. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Diane.
Friends may meet with Dean’s family from 1 to 2 P.M. Monday, October 24, 2022 at the Friendship Bible Church in Hopkins where a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Leonard Schildroth officiating.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can tell what an amazing dad you had because I can see it in the man and dad you are Abe! I’m sure he gave and helped guide your children into the sweet little ones that they are. You and your entire family snd extended family will be in my prayers.

So sorry to hear about Dean’s passing. He was a good Christian friend. I know he is now able to look into our heavenly Father’s face and feel the love and peace that only He can give. Our thoughts and prayers for you.

Was so sad to read of Dean’s passing. I know he will be sorely missed. God has received another angel into His kingdom.
